THESE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF COMMENTS MADE BY ATTENDEES OF THE 2004 SDCTM-SDSTA
JOINT SPRING CONFERENCE
I went to the presentations that gave science examples. They were a great
source of info.
Thank you for changing Friday’s lunch.
I appreciated learning new ideas, changing things that need to be changed,
getting affirmations that you are on track and meeting new teachers.
Great sessions!
The presentations made by Betty Erickson from N. H. were very good. Overall,
I did enjoy and learned a lot. The food was great!
Need maps or clearer directions.
Being able to construct a telescope cheaply and still be a useful item.
Middle school students can have a hands on activity that can be used in years
after. Good conference. Many good subjects.
These workshops focused on what I feel my students need. They were organized.
"Fractals at the elementary level" was absolutely excellent. Betty
Erickson was very refreshing and exciting. Great sense of humor. Excellent
activities…I will use. Also enjoyed Becky Umenthum Problem Solving and Math
Games
Great fun sharing ideas and info with other teachers.
Sharing ideas that I can use in my classroom right away without spending a
lot of money. Everything was great!
Everything Betty Erickson did was fantastic—lots of great tips to use as
soon as I get back.
Micheline Hickenbotham was easy to understand, calm, organized, professional!
Good conference. Many thanks to the organizers.
Excellent as always—great content, great people.
Need more math for middle school grades.
Relevant demonstrations that are simple to use. Always well organized.
Need more vendors with opportunities to buy materials or supplies
Thanks for changing Fridays lunch.
Made our own telescope. Took back many great games.
So many good sessions, but I really enjoyed Marilyn Rindfuss. She gave us
good ideas for helping kids "eternalize" skills. Nice facility; great
presenters; good exhibits.
Hands on activities. Handouts that can be used in classrooms.
Good activities to take home and use in the classroom.
Very good conference!
